In 2019, the U.S. Department of Education awarded Albert M. Greenfield School the highest honor a school can receive, the National Blue Ribbon for academic excellence and closing student achievement gaps. This extraordinary recognition is a credit to our Principal, Teachers, Community, our commitment to rigorous academics and cultural enrichment for our culturally diverse student body, and YOU.
Even through the challenges the COVID-19 pandemic presented to the school and our community, we stood strong. We prevailed. And with your help, our school continues to be extraordinary.
The willingness of the Greenfield community to assist in financially supporting our school is a huge factor in the progress we make every day. While the School District celebrates our strides, it has not been able to provide everything we’ve needed to make them. Greenfield community members and neighborhood businesses like yours have truly been the ones to make a difference.
Funds raised from this year’s Auction will help us create a brand new STEM program. This event is our major annual fundraiser, and we expect more than 300 attendees. We ask you to support The Annual Greenfield Auction in the following ways:
Thank you in advance for your support. Your donation will allow us to promote your business to the Greenfield community while also making a difference in the lives of our students. On behalf of our students, we thank you for your generosity and are grateful for your support.
In addition to the many ways in which we contribute to our community individually, Greenfield Gives Back is a school-based initiative to build connections with and support the wider Philadelphia school community.
This year, the HSA and parents discussed the best ways in which we could support other schools in Philadelphia. Recognizing our school's good fortune in recently having a new playground installed and its importance to neighborhood families, we are supporting Spring Garden School's fundraising towards installing a playground. Currently, the school, located at 1146 Melon St, has no playground for its 300 K-8 students. They are wrapping up their fundraising campaign and need a little help getting over the finish line.
During this year's auction, we will donate proceeds from the sale of Greenfield and Spring Garden School class art projects to the Spring Garden School playground fund; our goal is to raise $25,000. With the help of the Greenfield community, we can ensure that our energy and resources have an impact beyond our school's walls.
